Traffic flowing freely after vehicle fire blocks eastbound lanes of I-20 at I-285

All eastbound lanes of I-20 are blocked at I-285 in Fulton County due to a vehicle fire, according to Georgia 511.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Traffic has resumed after all eastbound lanes of I-20 were blocked at I-285 in Fulton County due to a vehicle fire, according to Georgia 511.

The vehicle fire was first reported around 5:30 p.m. Lanes briefly reopened before closing again.

Before traffic started to slowly move a little before 8 p.m., it was at a standstill for a couple of hours.

Black smoke could be seen billowing into the air when the vehicle caught fire.
