First Alert Forecast | Summer weather returns as we approach Labor Day!
ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - After several days of cloudier, wetter and cooler conditions across North Georgia... summer weather has made a return. Temperatures are hotter and only spotty rain, storms are in the forecast into early next week.
Hartsfield-Jackson Int’l Airport managed 90° this afternoon, but it felt like it was in the mid to upper 90s with the moisture in the air factored in. It’ll continue to feel hotter then what the thermometer reads for the next several afternoons.
Early spotty downpours continue to diminish now that the sun has set. The forecast remains mostly dry tonight.
Sunday begins with temperatures in he upper 60s and lower 70s in most spots; just a bit cooler up in the North Georgia mountains. Sunshine sends temperatures into the low and mid-80s by noon. Plan on temperatures peaking in the upper 80s and lower 90s by late Sunday afternoon. Only isolated showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast.
The same weather pattern continues into the workweek.
Have a great Saturday evening,
Cutter
