ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - Another gorgeous day is in the books. Temperatures peaked in the low to mid-80s earlier today, under a few clouds.
Temperatures cool through the 70s, and gradually dip into the 60s, this evening. It’s a great evening to secure the outdoor table for any dinner plans. It’ll bottom out in the mid and upper 50s across the higher elevations of far North Georgia Sunday morning. Plan on a pleasant morning across Metro Atlanta; sunshine, low to mid-60s.
Sunshine sends temperatures into the upper 70s and lower 80s by early Sunday afternoon. It’ll be warmest during the late afternoon, with temperatures peaking in the low to mid-80s in most communities. The forecast remains dry, with plenty of sunshine through the day.
FIRST ALERT | Hotter weather returns as we approach the official start of fall...
While it won’t be too absurd, temperatures are forecast to peak in the low to mid-90s in many areas next workweek. It’ll be hottest heading into mid-week. However, humidity remains fairly low. Heat index temperatures are forecast to remain closer to the actual air temperature. While it’ll be hotter than it is on average this time of year, slightly cooler weather may return late next week.
Enjoy your weekend,
