ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - The temperature may make it back to 90° for the first time since September 1 on Tuesday. It will be a partly cloudy today with a low risk of a brief shower around midday. Atlanta Metro will be within a couple of degrees of 90°, and it will be in the mid to upper 80s in the mountains.

The hot weather sticks around through the midweek. Both Wednesday and Thursday will be in the low 90s in Atlanta with low to moderate humidity. A cold front moves through Thursday evening as Fall arrives. The temperature will dip into the low to mid 60s by dawn on Friday, and it does not look as warm on Friday afternoon with a lot of sunshine.

The first weekend of fall will be nice with tons of sun on Saturday and partly cloudy skies on Sunday. The temperature slides into the 50s by sunrise on Saturday, and it will be in the low 80s during the afternoon. Sunday morning looks comfy before it warms to the low to mid 80s in the afternoon.

It has not rained for a week, and the best chances of showers through Sunday are midday Tuesday and Thursday evening. Neither looks like a good chance of rain, and there’s a good chance the dry stretch will reach two weeks.
