5th grader dies days after crash while traveling to soccer tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV/Gray News) - A 5th-grade girl from Kansas died days after she and her family were involved in a crash while traveling to a soccer tournament in Nashville.
The family was driving to a Nashville soccer tournament, according to a GoFundMe
St. Ann Catholic School identified the student as Annie Koester, who attended the school.
In a Facebook post, the school said Koester died Saturday night from injuries she sustained in a crash Wednesday, July 15, and had been placed on life support.
“We are deeply grateful to everyone who has kept Annie and the Koester family in your prayers,” the school’s post reads.
Details of the crash were not immediately available.
