Bond set for mother accused of shooting man found under daughter’s bed

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC/Gray News) - The mother accused of shooting a man to death after finding him in her daughter’s bedroom appeared in a Tennessee court Monday morning.

On July 16, 36-year-old Kendra Scott was taken into custody after a man was found dead at the scene of a shooting in the Walker Homes neighborhood in Memphis.

According to the affidavit, Scott told Memphis police she found the man under her child’s bed, saying she did what she “had to do.”
