Inmate found unresponsive at Henry County Jail, sheriff’s office says
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An inmate has died after being found “unresponsive” at the Henry County Jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
Donte Battle, 24, was found unresponsive inside his cell on Saturday, and despite deputies providing emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead, according to the Henry County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies have not released an official cause of his death.

The incident is currently under investigation by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Internal Affairs Unit and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI).
Battle had reportedly been in custody since December 20, 2023, facing multiple charges, including felony murder and armed robbery.
