Surprise Squad honors police officer who kept young girl company
ATLANTA, Ga. (CBS46) - Oftentimes, the simplest gestures of kindness can go a long way, and that is exactly what happened when a Woodstock Police Officer responded to an accident call.
Officer Poole arrived at the scene of the car accident, a first for Alessa Nelson and her young daughter Maya. What happened next was captured by Maya’s grandmother, as Officer Poole sat with Maya and played Pokemon as they awaited a tow truck.
The CBS46 Surprise Squad heard about the officer’s kind gesture and decided to give a little something back. Officer Poole received a box of goodies from Dunkin that included a $100 gift card, along with Braves tickets for his whole family to a game of his choice.
Officer Poole certainly left an impression on young Maya, who decided that she too would like to become a police officer one day.
