MODA Lecture Series explores lyrics, neighborhoods, and the city’s hip-hop history

ATLANTA, Ga. (ATL Live) - ATL Live hosts Ava Braatz and Savannah Louie talked with Dr. Regina N. Bradley, an Associate Professor of English and African Diaspora Studies at Kennesaw State University and co-director of the Hip Hop Studies Consortium at Georgia State University, about how Atlanta’s hip-hop scene reflects the city’s neighborhoods, history, and lived realities.

Bradley’s upcoming events are part of MODA’s Hip-Hop Made Atlanta series, focusing on trap music as a form of critical storytelling and on how Atlanta’s distinct communities shaped the city’s role as a hip-hop capital.
