Homeland Security officer charged with shooting man over noise complaint, DeKalb County DA says
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Homeland Security officer allegedly shot a man during a noise complaint, according to the DeKalb County District Attorney’s Office.
Quadrus Wilson, 49, allegedly shot the man at an apartment complex in Decatur after he complained about the noise Wilson was making July 27, the district attorney’s office said.
Wilson had been at a nearby apartment celebrating his birthday before leaving the apartment. He then returned, banging on the door.
The upstairs neighbor opened his front door and asked what the commotion was about. Wilson then went upstairs and confronted the man, opening his front door and demanding he drop his gun before shooting him in the arm, the district attorney’s office said.
Wilson has been charged with two charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, criminal damage to property in the first degree, terroristic threats and criminal trespass.
