A portion of the house's roof appeared to have collapsed.
A fire hit a three-story home in Brookhaven’s Ashford Park neighborhood early Friday morning, leaving extensive damage along the roofline.
The department has asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to look into the incident, which is customary for shootings that involve law enforcement.
