Mother desperate for justice after East Point high schooler shot, killed
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - An East Point mother is desperate for justice after her teen son was killed after a high school basketball game.
Mario Bailey, a Tri-Cities High School sophomore, was shot during some sort of a fight near the school, according to Shanice Bailey.
“I’m going to miss everything, he was all I had,” she said. “If y’all know what happened to my baby and are saying y’all are his friends or even if y’all are not his friends and know what happened, stand on that.”
Bailey said she dropped Mario off on Friday and never imagined she wouldn’t see him alive again. According to Bailey, the 15-year-old wanted to join the military and go to college.
“My baby was a good person. He was in JROTC, he worked every day,” she said. “The game was Friday and my baby was supposed to be at the JROTC ball Saturday. He didn’t make it.”

East Point Police said another student was stabbed in the school parking lot on the same night that Mario was shot in a separate incident.
School officials said they are now stepping up security.
“My whole heart is gone,” Bailey said.
No arrests have been made yet.
Bailey told Atlanta News First they are planning a vigil for Mario for Tuesday evening.
