$478 million winning Powerball ticket sold in metro Atlanta

BUFORD, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Grab your lottery tickets! According to the Georgia Lottery website, Wednesday night’s winning Powerball ticket was sold in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

The winning ticket was sold at the Quick Mart at 2155 Buford Dam Road in Buford, Georgia Lottery officials say.

Wednesday’s jackpot was at a whopping $478 million - almost half a billion dollars.

The winning numbers are 2, 15, 27, 29, 39 and the Powerball number is 20.

Powerball winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes.

Powerball drawings are held weekly on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday nights.

Lottery tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
