1 dead, 2 hurt in metro Atlanta house fire

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — One person is dead and two others were hurt in a house fire Saturday night in Stone Mountain.

Crews arrived around 8:30 p.m. at 1061 Lake Drive to find a three-story, single-family home engulfed in heavy smoke and flames.

A man and a woman escaped to the backyard with injuries and were taken to hospitals. Firefighters later found a third adult dead inside.

The victim has yet to be identified.

No firefighters were hurt. The cause remains under investigation.
