Pedestrian struck by car in Cobb County hospitalized

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Police are investigating after a man was struck by a car while crossing a Cobb County road.

According to investigators, the man was walking across South Cobb Drive just north of Waldrep Circle around 8:16 p.m. Sunday when a 2010 Hyundai Elantra struck him.

Cobb County police said the man was outside of a crosswalk at the time. He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, authorities said. The driver, a woman from Kennesaw, stayed on scene and was not injured.
