TROUP COUNTY, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A dog was reunited with her family after being trapped under a house in LaGrange for nearly a week.
Firefighters pulled off the rescue after Xena fell 20 feet into a dry well under her neighbor’s home last week.
Crews were called to help the dog and used a specialized rope to get her out within 30 minutes, according to photos the LaGrange Fire Department shared on social media.
The department said this is a reminder that unused or abandoned wells should be securely covered to help prevent accidents.
