ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A Gwinnett County man has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of a child.
Gwinnett County officers responded to the 6000 block of Green Hill Drive on Jan. 8 and found two children who had a gun and were firing it. One child was shot and later died.
The children had sent Almauri Drummond, 21, a video of them playing with the gun, and Drummond allegedly did nothing to take the gun away from them. Police said he only told the children to hide the gun from their father.
Drummond has been charged with second-degree cruelty to children, second-degree murder and reckless conduct.
