Man accused of leaving 3-year-old outside in 10-degree weather, police say
(WDTV/Gray News) - A man in West Virginia is accused of bringing a 3-year-old out into the snow and leaving the child there in weather below 10 degrees.
Robert Bragg, 25, was charged with child neglect, malicious assault and strangulation, according to the West Virginia State Police. Bragg was arrested after police responded to a domestic incident.

According to court documents, Bragg strangled a woman three times, hit her in the face and threatened her. He then took her 3-year-old child outside and left the child in the snow.
Police determined that Bragg was not the child’s father and that the temperature outside was 10 degrees with a colder wind chill, potentially exposing the child to hypothermia.
During the domestic dispute, the woman lost the ability to breathe while being strangled. Bragg also took her keys away and made her lie on the floor, saying, “He would kill her if she left,” according to the woman’s report.
Bragg is currently in the Central Regional Jail with bond set at $30,500.
