ATLANTA, Ga. (ATL Live) - CineVantage Productions CEO and Founder Honnie Korngold stopped by WANF’s ATL Live and caught up with host Becky Saterro about the behind-the-scenes work that supports Georgia’s film and TV pipeline.

Korngold talked about building more homegrown infrastructure through CineVantage, along with related initiatives focused on training and career pathways for emerging creators. That includes PhilanthroFilms, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with an AmeriCorps VISTA program, and Georgia StoryLab at Athena Studios in Athens, a creative incubator designed to connect newer creators with established production companies.

She also discussed “Northern Lights,” a feature film in active development starring Terry Crews and Maria Menounos, based on the true story of a football team in Barrow, Alaska. CineVantage says the project is planned to shoot entirely in Georgia.

Korngold also covered CineVantage’s role as a technical partner with Coca-Cola Refreshing Films, providing sound design, scoring, and composition support to student filmmakers participating in the program.
