Search for 1-year-old cancelled; police say father had permission to take child

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Atlanta police said the father of a 1-year-old child reported missing Friday evening had permission to take the child from a southwest Atlanta home.

Police initially asked for the public’s help locating the child, saying preliminary information indicated they had been taken without permission by his father.

The Atlanta Police Department later said investigators determined the father had permission to take his child.
