Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run in Brookhaven, police say

BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A road is blocked in Brookhaven as police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run Sunday morning.

The incident happened at Peachtree Road near Dresden Drive. Police say the pedestrian “unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.”

During the investigation, police learned the vehicle that hit the pedestrian drove away from the scene.

According to authorities, the road is expected to open in the next hour.

The investigation is ongoing.
