ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A reality TV star arrested earlier this month for allegedly sexually assaulting a boy at a Fulton County hotel was denied bond in court on Tuesday morning.

Favors’ attorney pointed out that she has no criminal history, but the state argued she could be a flight risk because she’s from Chicago and has no significant ties to Atlanta. The state also said she might be a danger to others and could use her fame to intimidate the victim or others involved in the case.

In a statement read to the court, the alleged victim’s mother also asked the judge to deny bond, saying her son is in intensive therapy to process what was done to him.

“At this age, when he should feel safe and protected, he is now forced to cope with trauma that no child should have to ever endure,” she wrote.

On Aug. 2, Favors was taken into custody at the Embassy Suites by Hilton hotel off International Boulevard near the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

According to her arrest warrants, 37-year-old Favors allegedly confessed to performing oral sex on a boy at the hotel, saying the act was consensual. In court, Favors’ attorney also claimed the child approached her, not the other way around.

Favors is a transgender model known for her appearances on several reality shows filmed in Atlanta, including “Atlanta Plastic” and “Baddies ATL.” She also starred in “Love & Hip Hop: New York,” and on one episode of the hit series “Empire.”
