ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A popular clothing store in West Midtown has shut its doors.

A sign Sunday on the door of the Lululemon at 1168 Howell Mill Road NW in West Midtown says the store is “permanently closing.” The sign refers shoppers to the retailer’s Ponce City Market location.

The company decided to close the store for good “after thoughtful consideration,” a spokesperson said in a statement to Atlanta News First.

“We regularly evaluate our portfolio of stores and continue to adapt to best meet the needs of our guests around the world,” the spokesperson said. “We’ve loved being part of this community and look forward to continuing to connect with our guests at our stores nearby.”

The location closed its doors on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The store has been the site of a couple of high-profile crimes in recent years.

In August 2025, a break-in was reported at the store. In February last year, a couple were accused of shoplifting $40,000 worth of merchandise.
