ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - A DeKalb County judge is facing calls to resign following a social media post about the Israel-Hamas war.

In the post, Judge Stacey Hydrick implied there were no “innocent” civilians in Gaza. The post has been deleted.

The Georgia chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations condemned the post saying, “the comments demonstrate a clear bias against Palestinians and Muslims, severely undermining public trust in the impartiality of the judiciary.”

Judge Hydrick responded, saying “judges are human beings. We see and hear things that cause of us to feel Emotion and to speak out. I am no different.”

She said if there is a case where her ability to be impartial is in question, she would disqualify herself.
