Suspect identified in deadly hit-and-run on I-75 in Marietta
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Marietta police have identified the driver who allegedly killed a man in a hit-and-run on I-75 this week.
On Wednesday, 36-year-old Terrell Lowdermilk from Chattanooga, Tennessee, was hit and killed on I-75 N near South Marietta Parkway. Lowdermilk was a tractor-trailer driver who had gotten out of his vehicle after it crashed with another, police said.
On Friday, police identified the driver who allegedly struck Lowdermilk as 48-year-old Christopher Bradshaw of Canton.
Bradshaw is facing felony charges of second-degree vehicular homicide and hit-and-run.
“Working though his attorney, Bradshaw has stated he will turn himself in,” police said.
Earlier Friday, police said they’d located the pickup truck believed to have hit Lowdermilk.
Officers reportedly found the suspect vehicle, a black 2020 Chevrolet Silverado, with help from Cobb County police’s Real Time Crime Center and tips from the public.
